Water damages into the properties along with rising damp.
After our investigation was concluded we found that there was no flashing in the wall cavity or weep holes. Under the drummy tiles there was no proof of any waterproofing and exposed steel reinforcement was found to have mild concrete cancer.
Scope
SRRB was tasked to demolish, prop and install new flashings, torch on waterproofing into the cavities. We then waterproofed the entire courtyard, re-instated the bricks in the cavities and left weep holes in order to finish with ground plastic, concrete and tiling.
Our scope consisted of: Structural demolition, Waterproofing, Brickwork, Rendering, Concrete, Painting , Plumbing , Tiling.
Outcome
The project was complete successfully, on time and in budget.
Our client along with the first-floor residents were pleased with the efficiency, cleanliness and professionalism shown on site.
The repairs to 780 Bourke St, Redfern were only a start to a great future relationship with both the client and the residents.
